This speech introduces how graphic organizers can be incorporated into in-field mobile learning designs to stimulate deeper thinking and produce integrated learning outcomes of learners. By using graphical knowledge organization tools, learners are able to organize what they have learned by connecting the new knowledge to their prior knowledge during the in-field learning process. This allows them to have better performances in applying knowledge to solve problems and improve their critical thinking skills as well.
From the findings of a series of studies, it is found that the use of mobile technology and graphical knowledge organization tools in the learning process can help learners to better understand and retain learning content. By organizing their knowledge and applying it into problem-solving situations, learners are able to develop a deeper understanding of the material and improve their critical thinking.
