Abstract
The integration of Smart Technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI)-Ed, learning analytics, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mobile technology and 5G, robotics and IoT, into education has the potential to transform teaching and learning. However, the use of these technologies must be guided by effective and ethical policies to ensure the protection of student data and the promotion of equitable and effective educational outcomes.
This webinar will explore how education policy can promote the effective and ethical use of Smart Technologies in education. It will discuss how policy can encourage investment in Smart Technologies, promote training on the use of Smart Technologies, and incorporate Smart Technologies into curriculum development. It will also consider how education policy can regulate the use of smart technologies to ensure privacy and security, minimize potential biases, and ensure that smart technologies are used effectively in assessment and evaluation.
Through examples and case studies from different education systems around the world, this webinar will demonstrate how education policy can promote the effective and ethical use of Smart Technologies in education. It will discuss the challenges and opportunities of integrating Smart Technologies into education systems, and how education policy can adapt to the changing landscape of technology.
